Popular model and video vixen Marie Miller beat 23 other contestants to emerge the 2013 Miss Earth Nigeria queen. The event held tonight at Oriental Hall, Lekki. Marie went home with a brand new 2013 Toyota Avensis and N3million one year salary. She will also represent Nigeria at the Miss Earth pageant later this year. Congrats to her. Chris Brown calls Jay Z out in new interview, says he gets a thug pass

In the latest issue of Jet magazine Chris Brown wonders why Jay Z gets a pass for stabbing someone and selling drugs but he doesn't get a pass for beating the heck out of Rihanna.

“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”

This year’s edition of the ARS kicked off Monday at the Agege Township Stadium with host Nigeria recording respective victories in the opening group matches against Kenya female and DRC male teams.

The Airtel Rising Stars Africa Championship, which kicked off on Monday, is part of the Airtel Rising Stars programme, a soccer talent initiative that has focused on identifying and nurturing soccer talent.

Broadcast by SuperSport and Canal Plus, the Airtel football competition provides the perfect platform to spot top soccer talents from the continent.

Over 600 aspiring footballers travelled to Lagos to participate in the Airtel Rising Stars Africa Championship. The countries that are participating are - Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Malawi, Ghana, Zambia, Gabon, DRC, Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Uganda, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.

Segun Ogunsanya, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, said: "Airtel has signed broadcasting pact with SuperSport and Canal Plus to ensure that young aspiring footballers get the Pan African media exposure they deserve. The best players of the tournament will participate in football clinics under the supervision of the best coaches of the Arsenal FC and Manchester United soccer schools. The clinics will be held in April 2014 in Lagos (Nigeria) and Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo).

KENYAN CATHOLIC LAWYER SUES PILATE OVER CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS

                             

The conviction of Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilate may be the most famous court verdict ever and perhaps the most consequential, since it led to Christ’s crucifixion and the founding of a global religion-Christianity. Now a Kenyan lawyer want to overturn Pilate’s decision, though he wants to keep the faith flowed from it. The selective and malicious prosecution of Jesus violated his human right Dola Indidis, a Roman Catholic who is petitioning the international court of justice, based at The Hague, to nullify Jesus conviction and death sentence. Indidis, a former spokesman for the Kenyan judiciary, accuses Pilate who was the Roman governor of Judea, of judicial misconduct, abuse of office, bias and prejudice. That may be the case, at least in the view of believers and many bible scholars. But getting a court to rule on a 2,000-year-old case from an outlying province in a long defunct empire will not be easy.

               Indidis, first brought his case before the Kenyan high court in Nairobi in 2007, but the court refused to hear it, saying it lacked jurisdiction. Now he is turning to the international court of justice.
